Oklahoma Waterfowl Hunting with Sooner Outfitters

Sooner Outfitters FAQ's

What part of the state do you hunt?

We keep leases all across the state. The reason we do this is because it allows us to take advantage of the different zones giving us more days to hunt. It also allows us to utilize areas of the state the birds are in the largest concentrations.

How do I book a hunt?

Call Josh @ 918-697-5655. We have a large number of repeat customers so be sure to call early to ensure you get the dates you want. We book a limited number of hunts which allows us to rest birds and consistently provide quality hunts.

When is the best time to come?

If targeting mallards December and January are our best months. For giant honkers January and February are our best months. If you want to see large numbers of ducks with the possibility of shooting mallards, wigeon, pintail, teal, gadwall and many other species then October and November will be the best time. We will be honest with you about the bird situation leading up to your hunt.

How long do hunts last?

We hunt until 11:00am but are often limited out in time to get breakfast.

What should I bring?
