Why do you only guide in the panhandle
until early November?
You can call or email us to book your hunt. Your 50%
deposit is due within 7 days from the date you booked your hunt. You
can pay by check. We do not accept credit cards.
Based on the dates you wish to hunt we will reserve a
location for you. The factors that play into this are season dates
and the history of a location based on the dates you want. We will
confirm the hunt location with you after you book your hunt. Of
course, no matter what history says Oklahoma duck hunting can change
drastically from day to day, which is why we continually scout and
adjust as needed. All of your hunting will be within 1 hour of
OKC.
We will meet you at your hotel somewhere between 5:00
- 6:00 a.m. based on the distance from your motel to your hunt location.
Then we will get to the hunt location and get everyone set up. We
will hunt until about 11:00, unless of course we kill a limit early.
Also, our hunt locations are near casino's that you
can visit in the afternoon or evening.
The secret to our success is scouting! No matter
how well you can blow a duck call or how good your set up is, if the
ducks and geese don't want to be there your hunt will not be successful.
The day before each hunt we spend considerable time scouting and seeing
which of our locations the ducks or geese are using most. We have
such a variety of locations, we feel that if the ducks or geese are in
Oklahoma we can put you on them. Be sure to ask other guides about
their success last year. They should be able to tell you how many
ducks they averaged on last year's hunts. We are proud of our
success last year in getting hunters on ducks and geese. It is not
uncommon for us to spend 8 hours in the truck the day before your hunt
just to make sure we have you in the right spot and we know what the
birds are doing.
NO! Ducks and Geese migrate in and out and this can
change on a daily basis. Do not book a hunt with anyone who guarantees
a certain amount of success. We do believe that we can set you up with
the best chance of success because of our experience, scouting, and
locations that historically hold ducks and geese. But, poor hunts can
happen to anyone at anytime due to several factors.
December and January are historically the best months
in Oklahoma, but we have always had early season success. So, the best
time to come just depends on you and your schedule. Also, be sure to
refer to the
season dates
to see what booking dates are currently available.
Can I bring my own dog?
On the duck hunts you can bring your dog. We do ask that each group
brings no more than one dog per hunt group. Otherwise, we do provide
retrievers for the Duck hunts. Of course, a dog that is not well
trained can severely hurt the success of a hunt. So if you do bring a
dog, be sure that you are confident it will sit still while ducks or
geese are working. We cannot guarantee that you could use your dog on a
goose hunt though. On some of the goose hunting fields it is difficult
to hide a dog well.

What are the minimum requirements for a
booking?
Each hunt requires a minimum party
of 3 hunters and a minimum of 2 days. Your deposit of 50% is due within
7 days of you booking the hunt. If you do not have a minimum of 3
hunters go ahead and contact us anyway. We can sometimes combine two
smaller groups to hunt together.

Why do you only guide in the panhandle until early November?
Three Reasons: 1. Most of the ducks that pass through
this area migrate in and out early in the season. 2. The playa lakes
are shallow and tend to begin freezing up early. 3. Our other
locations in the state begin to get a lot of action.
